Long open sand, full facilities
Several kilometres of wide sand with a promenade of beach clubs and restaurants behind it. The default choice for a full day by the water with children or a large party.

City beach below the castle
Right beside the old town, under Santa Bárbara. Best combined with a city morning: swim, then walk into the centre for lunch.

A small protected bay between the city and San Juan. Calmer water and a quieter crowd — the most relaxed of the three.
